Winners of the Pitic Transportation Excellence Scholarship 2014

With the aim of promoting the development of individuals who contribute to the progress of our state, Transportes Pitic and Fundación Esposos Rodríguez called on Sonoran graduates of higher education institutions to participate in the contest to obtain the Transportes Pitic Excellence Scholarship in its Edition 2014.

 The Transportes Pitic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to carry out Master's studies in the United States, Canada or Europe in Scientific and Technological areas, with the priority of supporting people whose objectives and projects are aimed at having an impact in the business, academic or Government of the State of Sonora. The period for receiving applications was from March 3 to May 30, 2014, during which time nineteen applications were received.

Creditors of the 2014 Excellence Scholarship

This year, the scholarship committee that served as technical committee and qualifying judge chose two people as recipients of the 2014 Excellence Scholarship. They are:

Ing. Maria Maresa Muñoz Morales

Graduated from the civil engineering career at the University of Sonora, María Maresa will study a master's degree in sustainable technologies for construction at the University of Nottingham in England. María Maresa will receive a support of $12,000.00 dollars from Transportes Pitic.

Ing. Luis Horacio Vizcarra Carranza

He is an industrial engineer graduated from the Universidad del Valle de México and will study a master's degree in mining geotechnics at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Luis Horacio will receive a support of $10,000.00 dollars granted by Transportes Pitic.

The creditors signed a liability agreement for them to return to their state in order to put into practice the knowledge acquired abroad.
