SCT PROMOTES REFLECTION ON NEW LOGISTICS MODELS
November 11th, 2015With the purpose of promoting reflection, discussion and the exchange of ideas about the future and new models of logistics operation In Mexico and Latin America, in addition to seeking to turn the country into a global logistics center with high added value, the International Congress on Logistics and Supply Chain (CiLOG) 2015.
During this event, issues such as the impact of the expansion of the Panama Canal on the world trade flows, the analysis of the new tendencies in the logistics knowledge management through approaches such as collective intelligence, and the design of supply networks under high uncertainty.
As well as the impact of platform-products as a basis for innovation in services logistics and the impact of the risk of interruption in logistics flows as part of international investment location decisions, among others, throughout five master conferences.
The meeting, led by Mexican Institute of Transportation (IMT) -decentralized body of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT)- and the Mexican Association of Logistics and Supply Chain AC (AML), was inaugurated by the Undersecretary of Infrastructure Raúl Murrieta Cummings.
During the activities that took place on October 15 and 16, more than 200 global experts from countries such as Austria, Argentina, Cuba, Colombia, Russia, the United States, Ecuador and Mexico participated, said the SCT through a statement.
The document indicates that research on transportation, logistics and supply chain, as well as the presentation of innovative technological applications that will improve the profitability of companies.
Likewise, a recognition was made to the generation of professionals who approved the standards that the AML has set, to be creditors of the ProGlobal AML Certification, in logistics and supply chain.
Finally, with the aim of linking all those interested in knowing more about the logistical advances that were exhibited during CiLOG, the IMT provided on its YouTube channel the possibility of accessing the presentations given in the auditorium of this institute.
