Companies save up to 50% of costs for cloud solutions

In Mexico, the cloud computing or cloud service has become one of

the solutions most used by companies, since they can save from 30 to

50% in the total cost of ownership that includes: equipment, software, maintenance,

expense of electricity consumption, support and personnel, said Alestra, the

telecommunications.

“This figure is very important, when compared to what would be spent buying the

technology or operating it, with respect to consuming it and without a doubt, this is one of the factors

important to be in the cloud, in addition to security”, said Eduardo Morones,

solutions director of the firm.

Alestra commented that in the country, companies have managed to unify their key processes of

business through this platform, facilitating the administration of daily tasks

and increasing their productivity by allowing all employees to work under the

same system of solutions.

According to the consulting firm IDC, by 2016 they will invest in Latin America around

of 140 billion dollars in cloud solutions, because until now, the 44% of the

Latin American companies already use or are expanding some cloud solution, while

that the 11% already considers it its main initiative so far this year.
