The Mexican Raúl Rojas González is the best teacher in Germany

He is Mexican by birth, but nationalized German since 1996. He speaks Spanish, English, German, French and Italian and since yesterday he became the best teacher in Germany.
Dr. Raúl Rojas González, a robotics specialist who works at the Free University of Berlin, yesterday received the award as University Professor of the Year by the Association of German University Faculties (DHV).
Rojas is originally from the Doctores neighborhood, in Mexico City, and was trained in the area of mathematics at the National Polytechnic Institute, IPN.
Rojas González has received awards such as the European Software Prize or the Wolfgang-von-Kempelen for the History of Computing; He is also a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
According to Dr. Bernhard Kempen, president of the Association of German University Faculties, the title was awarded to Rojas because he is an exemplary scientist in both research and teaching. Kempen noted that the Mexican helps inspire young people in their professions.
The award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, was presented during the German Science Gala in Mainz, in the southwest of the country.
