Auto – Reconstruction in the Supply Chain

September 11th, 2020

The change has come out of nowhere and we defend ourselves with something as basic as washing our hands frequently, the capacity for infection and lethality has stopped the entire world.

Our reality has been affected and changed, this is reflected in everything that is part of us and what surrounds us, our health, our work.

This has affected the Supply Chain, because it directly affected people, paralyzed the economy, completely stopped our activities, including the essential ones, it has damaged the supply chain throughout the world, it is contagious, sick and in some cases it comes to an end.

The new normality is our present, we learn to live with the virus little by little and to make new protocols and new “normalities” part of our daily lives.

Let's be Resilient, this word has taken on a lot of force, at this point we all have to be, unfortunately almost all or all of us have gone through extraordinary situations in recent months, we face adverse, unimaginable situations, but as we have always come out ahead, we overcome and overcome emotional pain.

If we talk about business or supply chain resilience, we find that vital force that makes us get ahead, that emerges to excel and survive. We are not talking about the assets of the company, nor the machinery, it is not in the product inventories, nor in the elegant corporate offices, it is something that we cannot buy but that does have a cost. It is the cost of maintaining an employment relationship with the staff, there are companies that decided to cut all their staff, others reduce wages, partial layoffs, companies that are in the red, so it is important to exercise our ability to adapt.

It is a fact that all of us, to a greater or lesser extent, are resilient, we are overcoming ourselves, even knowing that the Covid is still there, waiting for an oversight from us.

Therefore, the supply chains, their links, that is, the companies that participate in it, must now focus on developing an environment of well-being for their employees, which provides peace of mind when working in the facilities.

If the company protects its employees, it protects itself, the links are strengthened and the chain survives. We must achieve results always keeping our business philosophy in mind, creating and following new work habits, coexistence with reduced risks of contagion, breaking with stereotypes and paradigms of organizational culture prior to Covid19 and ensuring our well-being and that of our people.
