content_Entrega Beca de Excelencia Transportes Pitic 2013With the aim of promoting the development of individuals who contribute to the progress of our state, Transportes Pitic and Fundación Esposos Rodríguez invited Sonoran graduates from higher-level educational institutions to participate in the contest to obtain the Transportes Pitic Excellence Scholarship in its Edition 2013.

The Transportes Pitic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to carry out Master's studies in the United States, Canada or Europe in Scientific and Technological areas, with the priority of supporting people whose objectives and projects are aimed at having an impact in the business, academic or Government of the State of Sonora. The period for receiving applications was from March 1 to May 31, 2013, during which time twenty applications were received.

Creditors of the 2013 Excellence Scholarship

This year, the scholarship committee that served as technical committee and qualifying judge chose two people as recipients of the 2013 Excellence Scholarship. They are:

·         Arch. Marcela Orozco Noriega

With a degree in architecture from the University of Sonora, Marcela will study a master's degree in risk and resilience design studies at the Harvard University School of Design in the United States. Marcela will receive a support of $20,000.00 dollars from Transportes Pitic.

·         Joaquin Corella Puente

He is a mechanical electrical engineer graduated from the Tecnológico de Monterrey Monterrey campus. You will study a master's degree in sustainable energy technologies at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Joaquín will receive a support of $10,000.00 dollars granted by Transportes Pitic, Fundación Esposos Rodríguez and our employer, Lic. Arturo Ortega.

On this occasion, an agreement will be signed so that creditors return to our state in order to put into practice the knowledge acquired abroad.

This is a winning alliance in which Transportes Pitic, a company aware of its social responsibility and Fundación Esposos Rodríguez, an institution committed to the education of children and young people from Sonora, join forces to benefit professionals who seek, in the continuation of their studies, the tools necessary to contribute to the development of the region.

The next call for the Transportes Pitic Excellence Scholarship will be available in March 2014 on the website www.fer.org.mx
